Mrs. Edna Earl Tyson Nethercutt, 85, died Saturday evening February 17, 2018. Born January 6, 1933, she was the daughter of James Milton and Katie Lee Heath Tyson. Edna Earl was an LPN and spent the majority of her nursing career at Lenoir Memorial Hospital before joining the staff of Caswell Center for a brief period prior to her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Nethercutt; and siblings, Donald Tyson and Kenneth Tyson.
Her surviving family includes her children, Charles L. Nethercutt, Jr of Kinston, Thomas Edward “Eddy” Nethercutt of Faison, Reverend Greg Nethercutt of LaGrange, and Lynn N. Measley of Goldsboro; siblings, J.T. Tyson of Greenville, Evelyn Tyson of Wilmington, Linda Tyson Miloubar of Cary, Cecil Tyson of Kinston and J.M. Tyson of Farmville; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held graveside 3 PM Tuesday at the Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville with her son, Reverend Greg Nethercutt, officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service in Snow Hill prior to graveside services. Online condolences at www.taylor-tyson.com
