Bobby Wade



Mr. Robert Lee “Bobby” Wade Sr, 75, passed away Friday morning, September 22, 2017, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. A native of Greene County, he was born April 28, 1942, the son of John Robert Wade and Pearlie Lee Wood Wade. Bobby was a graduate of Maury High School and was owner and operator of Wade’s Aluminum prior to his retirement. He was a lover of antiques, both collecting and refinishing antique furniture and restoring antique lawn tractors. He was an avid lifetime fisherman and loved tending his vegetable garden. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren grow.

His surviving family includes his wife of 54 years, Ann Ham Wade of the home; daughter, Teresa Wade Thompson and husband, Greg of Grifton; son, Lee Wade and wife, Megan of LaGrange; his mother, Pearlie W. Wade of Ormondsville; grandchildren, Leah Thompson, Brett Thompson, and Ava Wade; sister, Betty Wade Snead of Kinston; brothers, Billy Ray Wade and Harvey Wade both of Ormondsville. In addition to his father, Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Gordon Wade.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 25, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastors Bert Potter and John Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
