Mrs. Sallie Hill Beaman, 83, died Wednesday afternoon, December 27, 2017. A native of Greene County, she was born May 1, 1934, the daughter of Henry and Josie Agnes Radford Hill. Sallie was a graduate of the Snow Hill High School and was employed with the former Wachovia Bank for many years. Always a lady of impeccable dress and fashion, she worked several years before her retirement in fine lady’s clothing in both Snow Hill and Kinston. Sallie grew up attending Hull Road OFWB Church in the Arba Community, and following marriage to her late husband, Johnny Beaman, she became a member of Free Union OFWB Church. Mrs. Beaman lived independently for several years following the death of her husband in 1998, however, the most recent years required her to move into a skilled care environment and leave her beloved home.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sallie was preceded in death by an infant brother and adult siblings, Frances H. Fields, Lula H. Williams, and Joseph H. “Buddy” Hill.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy H. Bynum of Snow Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held privately at the Snow Hill Cemetery where Sallie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Johnny.
