Mrs. Carol Edmundson Ridenhour, 90, died Wednesday morning, June 7, 2017, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. A native of Greene County, she was born August 11, 1926, the daughter of Dred Roland and Joy Johnson Edmundson. She grew up in the Lindell Community of Greene County and following marriage to her late husband, William “Dee” Ridenhour, they made their home in the Jason Community. Mrs. Ridenhour was a member of the Jason Presbyterian Church where she remained active until declining health necessitated her to move into an assisted living environment.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Ridenhour Davis.

The surviving family includes her daughter, Debra Ridenhour Davis and husband, Lin of Hookerton; grandchildren, Tate Davis and wife, Becky of Winterville, Jordan Davis of Hookerton, Andy Davis and wife, Dana of Greensboro, and Mindy Davis Knox and husband, Roger of Farmville; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Balent, Emma Davis and Benton Davis; and a brother, Bill Edmundson and wife, Marie of Stantonsburg.

Funeral Services will be held graveside at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 9, at the Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange with Pastor Scott Hardy officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Friday and other times at the home of Lin and Debra Davis, 408 E. Church Street, Hookerton, NC.
