Lyman was a good friend. When I was young, I spent many hours at his store, just hanging out. He was always kind and had a joke to share. He was happy and smiling all the time. He would get out his guitar and sing a song every now and then. It was a long time ago. I worked for him for a short time before I moved from Snow Hill many years ago. In recent years, I did not get a chance to visit with him as often, but when I did, he was always the same Lyman I had always known - a true friend. I will miss him dearly.

Lyman lived with us for awhile and I'm so glad to have helped him out then. He always kept me laughing at his jokes! We kept his dog; Mistro when he went to the VA and visited, with his dog, which made him very happy! His dog passed away a few months before him but niw they are reunited once again in Heaven along with his wife! God bless you Lyman Sauls and rest in peace!

Lyman would come to the store on his truck with his little dog . When Lyman would get ready to leave the dog had step on the lock button on the door and lock Lyman out of his truck. This would happen a couple of times . I would get the door open for Lyman so he could be able to leave. I don't who was happier Lyman or the dog but it is one of the memories I'll never forget. Lyman was a good man.
