Mrs. Beatrice Pridgen Dail, 94, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017. A native of Greene County, she was born August 31, 1922, the second child of Holden and Anna Hart Pridgen. A devoted wife and helpmate, Mrs. Dail worked with her late husband many years on the farm before working with the Greene County Public Library where she drove the Book-Mobile. Additionally, she was an Avon representative for more than 60 years. Mrs. Dail was a member of Rainbow United Methodist Church where she had begun attending as a child.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Preston Dail; son-in-law, James A. Ginn; grandson, Jerry Allen Ginn; and a brother, William Pridgen.
Her surviving family includes her daughter, Linda Dail Ginn of Plymouth; son, Billy Dail and wife, Phyllis of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Steven Dail (Kristie) of Snow Hill, Amy D. Coward (Scotty) of Winterville, James A. Ginn, Jr. (Christy) of Plymouth, and Jeffery Lee Ginn (C.K.) of Pinetown; great-grandchildren, Kirsten Haggart (AJ), Peri Head (Davey), Kyleigh Coward, Emily Ginn, Joshua Ginn, Zachary Ginn, Jake Ginn and Chelsea Ginn; great-great-grandchildren, Kade Ginn, Kenleigh Haggart and Ayden Haggart; a sister, Katie Pridgen Jones of Snow Hill; and brothers, John Robert Pridgen of Snow Hill and Aubrey Pridgen of Texas.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Friday, May 5th, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Reverend Patrick Keely and Pastor Matthew Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service and other times at Mrs. Dail’s residence. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Rainbow UMC, c/o Ray Pridgen, 704 Greenridge Road, Snow Hill, NC 28580.
